We’re Clayton and Meagan Johnson — Clayton a welder by trade, Meagan a registered nurse who manages the ICU and CCU at Sanford Bemidji. In March of 2021, Clayton and his crew broke ground on Grant Haven, and nine weeks later we opened the gates to our first guests.
We did it because we wanted the kind of place we’d want to roll into ourselves — clean, welcoming, well-equipped, and right next to the trails and water that make this corner of Minnesota worth driving to. We hunt, we fish, we ride the side-by-side with our girls, and we’ve spent more lake days than we can count. Now we get to share all of it.
From the air it looks like exactly what it is: a brand-new park along Grant Creek, with the lodge in the middle and the trees doing the work. From the ground, it is quieter than you expect.

The on-site clubhouse is open seven days a week — feed the family after a day on the trails, grab a Bemidji Brewing IPA and a basket of brewery fries, or post up by the simulator screen and watch the leaderboard.

On tap: we are proud to feature beers from Bemidji Brewing, a short drive down the road in downtown Bemidji.
Late nights: the kitchen and bar stay open until 1am for hunters, fishermen, and weekend riders coming off the trails.
